Welcome
to Shri Nirmalyam

Shri Nirmalyam is a visionary project operated by Balaji Parivar Seva Samiti Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 by Prabhu Sevak Shri Jagdish Chandra Ji with a deep commitment to both faith and environmental sustainability. Unlike conventional social service organizations, this NGO follows a scientific and systematic approach to addressing environmental concerns. The Shri Nirmalyam Project is dedicated to the conservation of the five fundamental elements of nature—land, water, air, sky, and fire—by ensuring the responsible and eco-friendly disposal of worship materials. Through this initiative, the foundation bridges spirituality with sustainability, inspiring communities to protect nature while upholding their religious values.

About

Our Mission

The main objective of Nirmalyam is to conserve nature.

Which includes conservation of clean water, conservation of pure soil, creation of green land, creation of pure forest.

1. What is Nirmalyam?

Nirmalyam is made from the word 'Nirmalya'. Which means, flowers, leaves, basil, akshat, incense, lamp, ash, garland etc. dedicated to one's deity. After worship, Nirmalyam is thrown into canals, ponds, rivers. Which is against the scriptures. Which causes water pollution. To dispose of this Nirmalyam, our organization has created the Nirmalyam project.

2. What has been said in the Vedas for Nirmalyam?

Out of the four Vedas, there is a mention in the "Atharvaveda" regarding the importance of special worship and offering.

Views on Nirmalyam in Atharva Veda:

1. Purity and use: Nirmalyam is considered pure and reusable. It is prescribed to immerse it in water or other natural forms.

2. Environmental protection: Atharva Veda also states that returning things offered to the gods to nature maintains environmental balance. It is not considered waste but part of the sacred cycle.

3. Devotion and Respect: Nirmalya should not be thrown away as if it is impure. It should be immersed in the proper way.

4. Religious and Cultural Significance: It is stated in Atharvaveda and other Vedas that it is our religious and moral responsibility to reuse or immerse the food, flowers, and water offered to the gods with reverence and respect.

Why Nirmalyam is necessary ?
In today's time, plantation is one of the most important topics, and also the need, because due to the increasing population, there has been a lot of reduction in the forests, and the emission of carbon is increasing to a great extent.  Urbanization and industrialization have exploited nature a lot and with time the situation is getting worse, if we do not take care of it now then the destruction of the earth is not far away.  today's time, educated people also ignore its disadvantages, people think it is not as big a problem as some people tell, but in reality, the situation is very bad the air in small towns has become so polluted that without people of smoking are suffering the  harm caused by it, the increasing number of vehicles is also responsible to a great extent for the poor quality of air, people also use vehicles 10 commute to work, use their own vehicles instead of public transport.

Today air, water and soil have remained pure due to growing industries, smoke coming out of factories, burning of plastic and garbage, drains water in rivers, while these are the most essential elements for life on this earth.  We cannot even imagine life without oxygen, but knowing everything.  Mankind is running in a blind race.

What are we doing for Nirmalyam ?
It is usually seen that people either keep the leftover worship material in a temple or throw it in the river. Apart from this, the material lying unused near the temples after the worship is of no use after the worship, rather it promotes more dirt by lying there for a long time, which does not look good on the temples. Many people throw these useless worship materials in the rivers and drains. Due to which the water also gets polluted and due to the blockage of drains, dirty water starts coming out.
