About Us
The main objective of Nirmalyam is to conserve nature.
Which includes conservation of clean water, conservation of pure soil, creation of green land, creation of pure forest.
1. What is Nirmalyam?
Nirmalyam is made from the word 'Nirmalya'. Which means, flowers, leaves, basil, akshat, incense, lamp, ash, garland etc. dedicated to one's deity. After worship, Nirmalyam is thrown into canals, ponds, rivers. Which is against the scriptures. Which causes water pollution. To dispose of this Nirmalyam, our organization has created the Nirmalyam project.
2. What has been said in the Vedas for Nirmalyam?
Out of the four Vedas, there is a mention in the "Atharvaveda" regarding the importance of special worship and offering.
Views on Nirmalyam in Atharva Veda:
1. Purity and use: Nirmalyam is considered pure and reusable. It is prescribed to immerse it in water or other natural forms.
2. Environmental protection: Atharva Veda also states that returning things offered to the gods to nature maintains environmental balance. It is not considered waste but part of the sacred cycle.
3. Devotion and Respect: Nirmalya should not be thrown away as if it is impure. It should be immersed in the proper way.
4. Religious and Cultural Significance: It is stated in Atharvaveda and other Vedas that it is our religious and moral responsibility to reuse or immerse the food, flowers, and water offered to the gods with reverence and respect.
